20 Magical Years of Harry Potter

As almost everyone in the world knows this Monday marked 20 magical years since the first publication of ‘Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone’.

In the past 20 years Harry Potter has become such an important aspect of so many peoples lives including my own. For me, Harry Potter first became a part of my live through the films as the first movie was released when I was only 3 years old. I loved the magic and the idea of Hogwarts a place where children could go to train to be a witch or wizard. As I got older the books then became an important part of my life as reading them was like shutting off my own world and entering a world of magic and endless possibilities.  If you have not yet read the series I highly recommend you do as there are so many little details about the world that are missed from the movies and no matter your age you are guaranteed to enjoy the books!!!

I have had the privilege of visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter twice at the Warner Bros  Studios in Watford, London. Walking through the sets you forget that it is indeed a set and it is like being transported on the spot to Hogwarts and the Wizarding World.  I have a vlog of my latest visit which I will link here.

“happiness can be found even in the darkest of times of one only remembers to turn on the light”💡

And Finally to Joanne,

Thank you for creating a world to which I can escape to. When the world is dark, your books are my Lumos. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for your determination and hard work that created these 7 beautiful books filled with magic and love. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

“Whether you return by page or the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”
